Aniello Enterprises operates the Aniello Enterprises Media Network, including the websites at aniello.net, podcasts.aniello.net, newsletters.aniello.net, and media.aniello.net, the newsletters Mergers and Acquisitions and Treasury, and the podcasts AI Weekly, Data Center Weekly, AI Law Weekly, Data Center Law Weekly, Treasury Weekly, and Banking Weekly (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Services, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our websites or open a podcast feed, our systems record usage information, including: pages viewed and the order of views; referring sites and links, including tagged campaign links; your country, region, and city as derived from your network connection; your network provider organization; device type, browser, operating system, language, and screen size; time spent on a page, scroll depth, and sections read; outbound link clicks; podcast episode downloads and feed requests, including the podcast application used; and the day and hour of the visit. We use a first-party visitor cookie that lasts up to one year so repeat visits can be counted as the same visitor. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of identified individuals from usage data — our metrics are audience statistics, reported in aggregate.

Information from podcast platforms. If you listen through a third-party application or directory such as Spotify or Pocket Casts, that service collects information under its own privacy policy. We receive aggregate listening and download statistics from those platforms, not the identity of individual listeners.

2. How We Use Information

3. Text Messaging Privacy

If you provide your cell phone number, it is used only to send the text message updates described in our Terms and Conditions and at the point of collection. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of information described in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your carrier’s standard messaging terms apply to delivery, and message and data rates may apply.

4. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information is shared only in these limited circumstances:

5. Cookies

Our websites set a single first-party cookie used solely to distinguish new from returning visitors in our audience statistics. Our hosting and metrics are first-party; we do not embed third-party advertising or social-media trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the Services will continue to work, and your visits will simply be counted as new.

6. Data Retention

Subscription information is kept while you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward so we can honor and evidence your unsubscribe and opt-out choices. Feedback and inquiry messages are kept while they remain useful for operating the publications. Usage records are retained in raw form for a limited period and thereafter kept as aggregate statistics that no longer identify individual visits.

7. Security

The Services are served over encrypted connections, administrative access is limited and password-protected, and subscriber data is held by established providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live — including under the laws of California and other U.S. states, and of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — you may have rights to know about and access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases for using information are your consent (for subscriptions and text messages), our legitimate interests (for audience measurement, security, and operations), and legal obligations. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, so no opt-out of sale or sharing is offered or needed. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. To exercise any right, contact us at the address above.

10. Children

The Services are intended for a general adult audience of business readers and listeners and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Visitors

Aniello Enterprises is based in the United States and processes information there. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this address with its effective date. Material changes that affect subscribers will also be noted in the publications.
